I'm Oluwafemi Akinlosotu, a DevOps engineer based in Berlin. I build applications and the infrastructure they run on, taking projects from development through deployment and ongoing operation.
Working across both means I can consider how application decisions affect deployment, performance and recovery, and how infrastructure choices affect the people building and using the software. That perspective helps me solve problems across the system and carry decisions through to implementation.
In 2026, I completed a DevOps Engineer diploma with Liora and Paris-Sorbonne University.

Infrastructure as code & cloud
Provisioning servers, private networks, firewalls and DNS with Terraform, organised into modules with remote state, so environments can be recreated from code.
Configuring hosts and services with Ansible roles and keeping secrets in Ansible Vault.
Designing AWS environments — networks, compute, load balancers and managed databases — and defining them in code.
Containers & delivery
Packaging applications as containers and running them on Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
Writing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI and Jenkins that test, build and publish images, with a manual approval step before production.
Delivering releases with Helm charts and Argo CD, with TLS certificates issued and renewed automatically.
Observability & recovery
Collecting metrics and logs and turning them into dashboards and alerts that point to the cause of a problem.
Running PostgreSQL with automatic failover and scheduled backups.
Backing up cluster state and documenting how to restore it.

Operating PostgreSQL in replicated setups that fail over without manual steps.
Storing application files in S3-compatible object storage.
